Recently, I received a comment regarding my post about Web Hosting Hub’s new hosting plans. Just to recap, Web Hosting Hub has added two additional levels of hosting plans along with their current package offering. Their existing plan has been named Spark and the new plans are being called Nitro and Dynamo.

According to Hub, nothing is being changed (except the name) to their previous hosting plan. The new packages simply offer more power and robust features for websites that require more performance.

Back to my reader’s comment: He said that in fact the current plan (Spark) has actually been downgraded and is now CPU limited. I initially had some of the same concerns, but had been informed by Web Hosting Hub that in fact there would be no change for existing Spark users. However, I decided to check again and contacted Hub to clarify the situation. They assured me that the threshold for the Spark plan remains the same. Better still, they provided me with additional information about the new hosting plan structure that was put into place. Here are some of the key points to keep in mind when considering Web Hosting Hub.

Spark, Nitro, and Dynamo Compared
Web Hosting Hub created the new Nitro and Dynamo plans to address the needs of those customers whose websites require increased scalability and stability. I think it’s important to point out that I’ve been running WordPress sites with the basic (Spark) plan for some time at Web Hosting Hub and I’ve found the performance to be fine. So while content management system performance is listed as a benefit of upgrading to Nitro or Dynamo, this would be for those cases where your traffic has reached a point where WordPress or Joomla is actually being adversely affected.

Is it Time for You to Upgrade?
Web Hosting Hub recommends that current Spark customers use the Resource Usage Monitor provided with your account to see if your usage is reaching the Nitro or Dynamo levels. Unlike some web hosts that will automatically suspend your account and take your website down when your traffic spikes and impacts server performance, Web Hosting Hub will provide an option to upgrade to Nitro or Dynamo while keeping your site running.

  4. I have been building websites for quite a while now, and I can assure you that Web hosting hub gives you more options for your money than some other Web service providers. For my last website (www.pllservices.com), which I build on my own with no knowledge on Web design and development, I had to cancel my service with 1and1.com to go back to Web hosting hub. Why?
    1. I had to pay extra money to use html code on my pages with 1and1. A service that comes standard in with Web hosting hub.
    2. I opened an account with 1and1 and they told me that I had to wait four days to get assistance in buulding my site because it was Easter week. Time is money. Web hosting hub served my account on Easter sunday. It means that they are more reliable.
    3. Web hosting hub has a useful do it yourself help menu that answers most of the questions that you may have in building your webside. If you do not like to read and follow direction, there is a live chat, and a forum that you can use to ask questions.

    I don’t want to sound that I am a groopie, but hands down Web hosting hub is the best you can have for your money. Check out my webside and you will believe me.

  8. After many years of hosting with another hosting provider I finally “bit the bullet” and moved my hosting for several domains to Webhostinghub. The primary reason for moving my hosting was the decline in support I received with the old hosting provider.
