Hosting.com vs Namecheap (May 2025) – “Choose This One…”

Hosting.com Review Rating
visit-namecheap

In this comparison of Hosting.com vs Namecheap, we look at two web hosts that offer some of the best lower cost, value-oriented hosting plans. Hosting.com and Namecheap both have a wide selection of hosting options for all types of websites and all levels of site owners. So, let’s take a detailed look to see which one you should choose.

Hosting.com has consistently been a top recommended web host specializing in multiple types of web hosting. I’m particularly impressed with their optimized shared hosting plans. Namecheap has long been a good option for low cost web hosting. They are also a valid alternative to GoDaddy as a domain registrar.

While they both offer impressive features, with Hosting.com you get more premium features and you also get Hosting.com’s optimized environment for speed and security. Hosting.com includes proactive perpetual security, plus you also get website staging capability. And, I also like that with Hosting.com you can choose your data center location. Both of these web hosts provide cPanel as your hosting interface. However, Namecheap doesn’t include some options such as Webalizer stats. Namecheap does include a nice data backup option. However, Hosting.com is the winner when it comes to features.

In my experience, Hosting.com also provides superior website speed and performance. Their Turbo Hosting Plans are especially noteworthy. With both my own websites and my separate testing, Hosting.com consistently posts faster page loading times. With Namecheap you do get a 100% uptime guarantee. But remember, that doesn’t mean your site is never going to go down. Uptime guarantees only mean that you get reimbursed for the time your website is unavailable. In any case, Hosting.com is also the winner when it comes to speed and performance.

Hosting.com Speed Test Results

If you’re looking for WordPress hosting, then Hosting.com is also the better choice. You can get WordPress pre-installed and Hosting.com provides an optimized WordPress environment that gives you improved speed and security. Hosting.com is also consistently one of the first web hosts to offer the latest versions of PHP. So, while you can get quality WordPress hosting at both Hosting.com and Namecheap, Hosting.com also gets the edge here.

I’m pleased to report that both Hosting.com and Namecheap provide excellent customer support. However, with Hosting.com you get support access via phone, email, support ticket, and live chat. Their support team has provided helpful, responsive, and courteous assistance to me whenever I’ve needed it. Therefore, I would also give Hosting.com the advantage in this category.
