SiteGround and iPage both offer many different web hosting plans and services. In this comparison, we take a look at how their Shared Hosting Plans stack up against each other.
At one time, iPage’s shared hosting plan was one of the best value options available. It still does offer a lot of features for the lower price tag. However, keep in mind that the renewal rates are higher. And, while you have a choice of three different shared hosting plans at SiteGround, each one has some premium features that in the long run may provide just as much value.
SiteGround also offers managed WordPress hosting plans, as well as great features for Drupal and Joomla hosting. You can also use WordPress with iPage; however I would definitely favor SiteGround here.
SiteGround also gets the edge when it comes to customer support. While my experiences with iPage support have been positive, SiteGround’s response time has been significantly faster. Website speed and performance is another area where we would favor SiteGround. Their SuperCacher technology can noticeably improve the page loading times of your website.
While we like both of these web hosting companies, I would recommend SiteGround to those website owners that need to use a content management system like WordPress or Drupal. iPage is probably the better choice if you’re a newbie looking for a way to quickly create a more basic type of website.
