In this comparison of InMotion vs Pressable, we take a look at two excellent web hosting providers. InMotion Hosting has long been a favorite and one of my top recommendations for web hosting. And, they now have their Managed WordPress Hosting plans that are even more impressive when it comes to speed and performance. Meanwhile, Pressable focuses solely on WordPress and has become one of the better options if you’re looking for a great combination of value and features in a hosting plan. Let’s see how InMotion and Pressable match up and which one you should choose.
InMotion Hosting and Pressable both have optimized environments for WordPress sites. And, both provide excellent website speed and performance. In fact, in our latest speed and performance testing, they were the top 2 web hosts. While it’s extremely close here, InMotion with their optimized servers, advanced caching, and Max Speed Zone Technology gets a slight edge.
In our testing and my personal experience, both InMotion Hosting and Pressable are outstanding for website performance, structure, page loading times, and core web vitals.
InMotion doesn’t include any native website staging feature, so you need to use JetPack or the BoldGrid website builder staging functionality. Meanwhile, Pressable now offers their Smart WordPress Staging that allows you to easily clone your site for staging. You can then use their Data Sync function to push changes back to your live site. If website staging is important to you, then Pressable is the better fit.
InMotion Hosting and Pressable both offer automatic daily backups. With InMotion, you’ll need to purchase the Backup Manager add-on feature. It isn’t expensive—currently about $2 mo. The Backup Manager retains your last two backup copies. Or, if you opt for their managed WordPress hosting, you get automatic off-site backups included. You can utilize cPanel backup functionality for manual on-demand backups.
Pressable includes both automatic daily backups. Your daily backups are kept for one week. Weekly backups are kept for one month. You can also create manual backups, with the last three backup copies retained.
Because the backup and restore process is a bit easier with Presable, they get the edge here.
InMotion Hosting and Pressable both do a great job when it comes to customer support. While it’s close, InMotion is the winner in this category based on faster response times and more consistently going the extra step to see that an issue gets resolved.
