Go Daddy Planning Northwest Expansion

If you’re in the Northwest area of the U.S., you might be interested to find out that Go Daddy is planning to open a permanent office in the Seattle area. With a target date of June, the location will either be Kirkland or Bellevue, Washington. A number of senior executives have already been recruited to staff that location.

While this is good news for those in the area who may be looking to get a job with Go Daddy, there apparently aren’t any plans to open a new data center there. While Go Daddy has a number of data centers spread out, I’ve never been too impressed with the speed of their network. It’s always nice to have a data center closer to your location since you usually get better website load and data transfer times.

I do however remain a loyal Go Daddy customer when it comes to domain registration and management. They usually have some great sales on domain names—especially if you buy in bulk. I also like their domain management interface. I find registering and managing my domains at Go Daddy is very convenient—especially if you need to change web hosting companies.
