Web Hosting Hub vs. HostGator (Jan 2018)

While Web Hosting Hub offers one all-inclusive hosting plan, HostGator has many different levels of hosting (including Dedicated) available. From an economic standpoint Web Hosting Hub does provide much better value. You get some unlimited features and the ability to host as many domains as you need to. Hub also provides excellent support and a 90 day full money back guarantee. HostGator’s top level business hosting plan does provide some nice extras like a dedicated IP address and your own toll-free phone number. However, you’ll have to pay substantially more than at Web Hosting Hub.

Both Web Hosting Hub and HostGator provide you with the cPanel interface. But, while Hub utilizes Softaculous as their software installer, HostGator uses Fantastico. I’ve had much better success with Softaculous, but your results may differ. I also like the Account Management Panel interface you get with Web Hosting Hub.

Although both of these hosting companies provide solid plans, most website owners will probably appreciate the value you get with Hub as opposed to HostGator. On the other hand, if you believe you may need to upgrade your web hosting at some point in the future, HostGator will be able to offer more options.
