Signing up with A2 Hosting and getting your account set up is very easy. Also, getting your first website created is also simple. A2 actually guides you through the process of setting up your first WordPress site. It’s also easy to create or move additional WordPress sites. As far as provisioning time, the only delay was waiting for the SSL to be auto-installed. So, be aware that there may be a wait time for that.
The A2 Hosting Managed WordPress interface is outstanding. From your main login screen, you get quick and easy access to both cPanel and your TurboHub for WordPress dashboard. You use cPanel for your domains and other website functionality (email, files, databases, etc.) and you can use TurboHub for your WordPress website functions. The TurboHub is perhaps my favorite WordPress Hosting interface. Although you have easy access to your WordPress Admin dashboard, you can actually use TurboHub to manage your plugins and security.

We are very impressed with the website staging included with A2 Hosting Managed WordPress. From the WordPress Toolkit interface, you can easily create a clone of your live website, make changes and test things out, then easily push your changes out to your production website. I definitely like the restore options where you can choose what parts of your staging site you want copied over to production, as well as the ability to create a restart point should you need it.
A2 Hosting definitely has you covered when it comes to data backup and restore. With their Managed WordPress Hosting plans, you get automated daily backups, the ability to create on-demand backups, and you can even configure automated daily off-site backups.
Automated daily backups can be accessed from JetBackup 5 in cPanel. You can perform on-demand backups from the WP Toolkit dashboard. And, automated off-site backups can be configured using JetPack.
Overall, A2 Hosting certainly gets high marks for data backup and restore.
Initially, there was an issue with getting AutoSSL to work with my temporary A2 domain. Otherwise, we found the security tools impressive and didn’t experience any security problems.
A2 Hosting customer support has always been impressive. However, the live chat response times were sometimes a bit longer than expected. Also, I did have an issue with my AutoSSL that took multiple live chat sessions with different support agents to try and get resolved. However, everyone on the team was professional and eventually everything was running smoothly.
It had been a while since we took a detailed look at A2 Hosting’s Managed WordPress. And, I must state that I am definitely pleased and impressed at how they have grown and improved the product. The dashboard interface is excellent, the WordPress Hosting features you get are awesome, and website speed and performance is outstanding.
A2 Hosting has always been one of the better web hosts when it comes to customer support, so it was kind of surprising that live chat support wait times are a bit longer now. Hopefully, it’s only a temporary situation.
