Web Hosting Hub Survey

As a follow up to my post about signing up at Web Hosting Hub, I thought I’d let you know that so far everything’s gone well with my hosting there and things have been running smoothly—similarly to my previous experience using Web Hosting Hub with another account. Something new this time around though is that I recently received an email inviting me to take a survey to provide my feedback, ideas, views, and opinions on my Web Hosting Hub experience.

I don’t always participate in surveys, but in this case I thought that in addition to providing my feedback, it would also be interesting to see exactly what information Web Hosting Hub was interested in finding out. The survey consisted of 9 questions and didn’t take very long to complete. I thought I would share the questions and my responses here to further show how they’ve been doing.

1. What can you tell us about yourself?
This was kind of a strange open-ended question. Since I’m sensitive to information privacy, I didn’t give any personal info. I just told them a little about my technical background.

2. What made you purchase web hosting from Web Hosting Hub?
I was a previous customer with Hub and had a good experience with them. However, in the survey I simply told them I wanted an affordable hosting plan that allows an unlimited number of sites hosted.

3. What kind of website do you host with Web Hosting Hub?
This was a multiple choice question with the following choices:
A. Personal / Hobby Site
B. Blog / Forum
C. My Own Business Website
D. My Employer’s Website
E. Photo / Video Gallery
F. Informational / Wiki / Non-profit Website

However, they only allowed one choice–which is interesting since Web Hosting Hub is great for any of these kinds of sites. In my case, I determined that they wanted to know about my first site there. Actually, it’s a combination business site with a blog, but I think I chose C. As I’ve said, my experience with Web Hosting Hub has been that their hosting plan is equally suitable for all of these websites, and I’ve had most all of these different kinds of sites hosted there.

4. What matters to you the most when choosing a web hosting service?
I listed customer support, uptime, value, and performance. For me, Web Hosting Hub scores high in all of these categories. You get a lot of great features in your hosting plan that cost less than many other places. I’ve never had any issues with my sites being down. And the customer support has been tops.

5. Did you consider any other hosting services besides Web Hosting Hub? If so, which ones?
I use many different web hosting companies, so this was a very interesting question for me to answer. For the record, I listed GreenGeeks, MyHosting.com, Web.com, and 1&1 Hosting. In reality, I’d put Web Hosting Hub in the same group with DreamHost and BlueHost as far as looking for an unlimited type hosting plan that allows unlimited domains.

6. What made you choose Web Hosting Hub over the other service providers?
As I said earlier, I was a very satisfied customer with Web Hosting Hub with some of my past websites. For the record, I listed Good Features and Affordable Price.

7. Which doubts or hesitations did you have before signing up? Was there something that nearly stopped you from buying?
I didn’t have any doubts about signing up. And the sign-up process is easy and straight forward. I would like to see payment options for PayPal and Pay by Check added to the Credit Card Payment options on the sign-up page. You can use PayPal or pay by using a check, but you’ll need to contact support first and work through them.

8. Did you have any questions you couldn’t find answers to on our website?
Here, I just wrote “See Above” (meaning see question 7).

9. Anything else you would like to tell us about Web Hosting Hub?
Here, I just said “Keep up the good work!”

As you can probably tell from my responses above, I’m quite pleased with the service at Web Hosting Hub. Clearly from the survey questions, they’re trying to find out what customers feel are their strong points and areas for improvement so they can focus on those features to obtain an even larger customer base. As an actual Web Hosting Hub customer, I can tell you that their hosting plan is suitable for many different kinds of websites. But I would say they are the best fit for you if you’re looking for an affordable hosting package that allows an unlimited number of domains and websites, offers an abundance of free software applications you can use for your site (including WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal), and provides timely and excellent customer support.
