Although I’m currently a DreamHost customer, I hadn’t been over to their own website lately, so I was surprised to find out that they have recently completely revamped their site. The goal of the redesign seems to be an emphasis on people—customers that can benefit from DreamHost’s wide variety of web hosting services and DreamHost support staff. It has a very similar feel to GoDaddy’s current website.
The homepage focuses on three specific DreamHost products:
Shared Hosting
DreamPress – Managed WordPress Hosting
DreamObjects – Cloud Hosting
Digging a little deeper into the site, you can find information on their VPS and Dedicated Hosting, along with much more on all of their cloud hosting offerings.
The signup process on the DreamHost website has also appears to have been streamlined and simplified.
Overall, I like DreamHost’s newly designed site. It now has a much more modern, attention-getting look—yet still fully and concisely explains their entire lineup of web hosting products and services. Now, I’d like to see them do the same thing with their web hosting control panel.
