InMotion Hosting Upgrades Data Center

For webhosting shoppers who value website speed and uptime the most, InMotion Hosting has now provided more reasons for consideration. They have just recently completed major upgrades to their data center and network. For those of you who have read some of my previous posts, you know that I use InMotion for some of my own websites—including this one.

In all the years I’ve used InMotion Hosting, there have never been any problems with my websites. Speed and performance have been great and the customer support has always been helpful and professional. I did notice that for a while, my web stats were not always updated automatically in Webalizer or AWStats as they had been. In communicating with customer support, I was informed that server load was the issue. Since the recent data center and network upgrade, my web stats are once again being updated daily.

According to InMotion’s website, this upgrade will result in more redundancy and bandwidth to the internal and backend networks—as they have partnered with Tier 1 bandwidth providers so you can get the fastest paths to your web services. As a result of the improvements, InMotion Hosting is now listing their network/server uptime as 99.99% or better. In addition, the recent upgrades are not just limited to their network. The new shared servers now have more CPU power, disk space, and RAM.
