InMotion Hosting Updates Account Management Panel (AMP)

One of the great features you get with InMotion Hosting is access to their Account Management Panel or AMP as it’s referred to. With AMP, you not only get quick and easy access to all of your web hosting account information (billing details, hosting plan details, renewal notifications, contact information, etc.) but also some extra security—as access to your AMP data requires a separate login.

Now, InMotion has updated AMP and made it even more user-friendly with a new graphical icon interface. The Account Management Panel is divided into two sections. The top area lets you access account and billing data, while the other section gives you access to functions related to your hosting account and websites. Below is a summary of the AMP icon functions.

  • Account Notifications:
Alerts about payment notifications and special offers.
  • Credit Card is Expiring:
Lets you add and edit your credit card information for payments.
  • Reset Password:
    For resetting your AMP password.
  • Register Domain:
    For purchasing new domain names.
  • Transfer Domain:
Allows you to transfer a domain from another registrar.
  • Contact Information:
Allows you to edit and update your account data.
  • Pay Bill:
You can submit payment for your hosting and domains.

  • cPanel:
To access your control panel interface.
  • Account Technical Details:
Lists information such as your account URLs and nameservers.
  • Email:
Takes you to your cPanel for email setup functions.
  • Install Popular Software:
Another shortcut to cPanel for installing WordPress, Joomla, etc.
  • Softaculous:
Allow you to install additional software.
  • Purchase SSL Certificate:
If you need SSL for an ecommerce site, here is where you order it.
  • Simple CSR Request:
For those purchasing SSL from a third party.
  • Change Hosting Plan:
For moving to a different hosting plan such as VPS or Dedicated Hosting.
  • McAfee Email Protection:
    For added email security.
  • Change Primary Domain:
If you have registered another domain and want to make that your primary one, you request the change here.
  • Data Restoration Request:
To have your data restored from a backup done by InMotion.
  • Purchase Dedicated IP:
For those needing a dedicated IP.
  • DNS Zone Editor:
For creating and editing your DNS zone records.
  • Request Email Limit Exemption:
For sending out huge amounts of emails.

I have always liked the way InMotion provides account and billing details with AMP. And now with the graphical interface, the Account Management Panel is even easier to use—and another reason why InMotion Hosting deserves high marks.
