Web Hosting Hub vs. Web.com (Jan 2018)

Web.com is widely known for their television commercials promoting their Build Your Own Website package. They also provide many other online and hosting services. By contrast, Web Hosting Hub focuses mainly on their shared hosting lineup. They offer one of the best unlimited hosting packages with great features and the option to upgrade later should you require more resources. While at first glance, web.com may appear to be the choice for first time website owners, Web Hosting Hub can also be an effective solution for less experienced webmasters. Let’s take a closer look at both to see which one is better suited for your site.

Web Hosting Hub offers live chat support, while web.com does not. Web Hosting Hub also gives you more unlimited features, free extras, provides live chat support, and has one of the best refund policies you’ll find. You also get cPanel as your interface (along with Hub’s Account Management Panel). And, you’ll also have the option to upgrade to one of their premium shared hosting plans should you require more power and resources down the line.

Surprisingly, web.com’s shared hosting plans don’t provide as many features as I’d like to see. The basics are certainly included, but I would expect to get more for the cost of their packages. In terms of value and features, Web Hosting Hub wins easily.

The area where web.com would seem to excel is with their “Build Your Website for You” service. If you need custom website design, I would take a look at web.com. For web hosting, I’d go with Web Hosting Hub.
