There’s no doubt about it. Whether it’s through a network TV commercial or a video uploaded on YouTube, web hosting companies are now fully utilizing videos to promote their services. The latest example comes from iPage, which recently released a number of new videos. The one I was particularly interested in viewing (the one featured here) is all about why you should choose iPage for your hosting.

The video uses three specific examples to demonstrate how iPage web hosting can help out a diverse group of website owners. In the video, you are introduced to a blogger, a business owner, and a photographer. The blogger is featured to show how iPage easily lets you get up and running with WordPress. The business owner demonstrates how iPage can integrate ecommerce into your site. And the photographer is trying to showcase his portfolio of work.

As you may know, iPage is one of the web hosts I use for some of my sites. And from my personal experience with two out of the three areas above (I have not yet created an ecommerce site there); I can say that iPage does do a great job for blogging and photography websites. I’ve had a number of WordPress sites on iPage, and it is very convenient to install from the custom icon on the iPage control panel. All of my WordPress sites have run smoothly and I have not encountered any issues. I also have a portfolio photography site on iPage which I have been completed satisfied with. I’m not sure if the photographer in the video is referring to one of the free website builders you get with iPage as far as creating his online portfolio. My own site was created with WordPress. However, either way you choose to create a photography site, iPage provides quality hosting at lower prices than most of the other established web hosts.
