Infographic: Web Hosting Company History

With the start of a new year, today’s infographic is all about choosing an established web host for your website. Here is a timeline showing when some well-known web hosting companies started doing business.

While selecting a web host that’s been in the business quite a while doesn’t guarantee you’ll have the perfect experience, I always recommend that potential website owners start their hosting search with a company with a proven track record. There are many bargain deals being offered by new web hosting companies that can be tempting, but in the long run I believe you’ll have better success with an established host.

The infographic takes a look at seven web hosts that were established between 1997 and 2004 (GoDaddy, iPage, IX Web Hosting, InMotion Hosting, HostGator, Bluehost, and SiteGround).
