Arvixe vs. Bluehost

Here is a matchup of two quality web hosting providers who offer excellent cPanel hosting plans. Arvixe and Bluehost both go beyond just the unlimited data storage and transfer features to include items like Cloudflare CDN and Search Engine Submission. Also, they both employ equally impressive datacenter technologies.

We do feel that Arvixe provides greater value with their hosting plan and includes some other advantages over Bluehost. For example, Arvixe’s entry level hosting package costs $4 mo. and you can host up to 6 sites. By contrast, Bluehost’s entry plan lets you host only one site and your space is limited. The pro level plan at Arvixe lets you host an unlimited number of sites and costs $7 mo. Bluehost’s pro plan also gives you unlimited domain hosting but costs significantly more.

Arvixe also gives you a free domain for as long as you have your account, whereas Bluehost free domain is only for the first year. We’ve also found the customer support at Arvixe has responded more quickly to our live chat requests. Bluehost has unfortunately been one of the slower web hosts to respond to chat support inquiries.

UPDATE: Please be aware that as of August 2016 we now recommend Bluehost over Arvixe. For some reason, Arvixe renews your account prematurely. And if you don’t want to renew, it can be a lengthy process trying to get a refund. Be aware that they now have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
